One of the very first artists to sign to the fledgling Hospital label – way back at the turn of the millennium, Danny Byrd’s own inimitable take on soulful, vocal Drum + Bass has become a staple in the scene. His use of hip hop, house and R&B influences immediately began turning heads with his first Hospital outings. The Bath based, brandy drinking producer has been responsible from some massive rave anthems over the years, which has gained him Radio One success and international recognition.
After numerous tours across the globe, Danny Byrd’s time buried in his Bath-based home studio has been well spent as he’d cooked up Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on her BBC Radio 1 Friday night show. The track, ‘Devil’s Drop’ which featured on Hospital’s ‘Sick Music 2018’ series. Few D+B acts can boast such universal success on dancefloors and on the airwaves, but Danny isn’t just anyone. His 2nd single of 2018, ‘Salute’ which features the legendary MC GQ, has also been a hit on the airwaves reaching #3 in BBC Radio 1’s Specialist Chart, as well as garnering support from the likes of MistaJam, DJ Target, Rene LaVice, Julie Adenuga, Charlie Tee and many more.
He has recently dropped successful album ‘Atomic Funk’, the first album in 5 years presenting 15 tracks of funk-fuelled D+B that includes previous singles ‘Devil’s Drop’, ‘Salute’ and ‘Hold Up The Crown’.
Quite simply one of the most exciting young producers to grace the world of drum & bass in recent years, William Keen aka Keeno, is a classically trained, multi-instrumentalist whose music transcends the dancefloor and enters the realms of cinematic beauty.
His debut album, ‘Life Cycle‘, released on Med School in 2014 was a masterpiece, revered by all who took the time to appreciate its craft – a perfect follow up to his debut release, the stunning ‘Nocturne‘ EP, released in 2013.
Fast forward a couple of years and Keeno is burning brighter than ever, an accomplished DJ whose style and energy is igniting dancefloors across Europe and beyond.
2016 saw the release of Keeno’s second album, ‘Futurist‘, a sixteen track album embodying everything special and unique about his style – another step forward for Med School and this exceptionally talented producer.
2017 brought us Keeno’s third LP, ‘All the Shimmering Things’, a beautiful constellation of tracks that has solidified Keeno as one of Drum & Bass’s major players.
